No offense, but you're telling me that Johnny is tied to a chair and can't move it at all? Like how easy it would be for even a small child to use their body weight to jump it around the room. Not to mention, they are in an apartment building that is very easy to hear through those paperthin walls. And with Chanel calling his phone, are you telling me that he can't give his cell voice commands to "call Channel" or "answer her call".
But most of all, it would be so easy to move that chair himself and just blow out the candle and shut off the stove burners himself. I would like to recreate this scene just to see how easy this would be... I mean it would take some manuevering, but easy peasy.
And if he did need any help, he could just hollar at a neighbor or even manuever to the neighbor's door. Or manuever to his cell phone and call 911, or just ask Siri to call 911. Regardless, even though I LOVED the whole Sophia storyline... just didn't buy into Johnny's victimhood. Sophia literally gave birth all by herself in her bedroom and still had the courage to bring the baby to the firestation and get Melinda's help. Yet Johnny can't even bouce a chair a few feet to either the candle or the phone or the door?
PS... as smart as Sophia claims to be.... I highly doubt she would have tied him to a light weight loose dining chair instead of a fixed object... and that she wouldn't have gagged him. Even doing those things, I think most intelligent people could figure out how to save themselves. Just saying
